The Weekly Fight is dedicated to Duane France. He is currently serving as the Director of Veteran Services at The Family Care Center, a private mental health counseling agency specializing in the unique needs of military service members, veterans, and their families. He is a National Certified Counselor and is certified to provide clinical mental health counseling in the state of Colorado.
Mr. France is a retired Army Noncommissioned Officer and combat veteran, having served in deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, North Africa, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. He has provided mental health counseling services to the Colorado Fourth Judicial District Veteran Trauma Court. Mr. France is passionate about veteran mental health and feels strongly that those who have served in the military can continue to provide value to their community long after that service has ended. He writes for an audience of service members, veterans, their families, and their communities on his main blog, Head Space and Timing, which can be found at www.veteranmentalhealth.com. He is also the host of a weekly podcast focusing on veteran mental health.
